The Parable of the Shrewd Manager
"You cannot serve both God and money." (Luke 16:13)
The Vision
The Story of the Art
- The Red Chaos: Represents the crisis—the moment the "pink slip" arrives and the world collapses. It is the panic and shame that most people freeze in.
- The Narrow Beam: Represents the "window of opportunity." Like the manager, we have a very short, specific time where we still hold resources (money, time, influence) before they are gone.
- The Blindfolded Walker: Represents singular focus. The figure isn't looking at the chaos he is leaving behind, nor is he distracted by the world around him. He is moving with purpose toward the goal.
- The Starburst: Represents "Eternal Dwellings." The manager exchanged temporary currency for permanent friends. We are called to exchange temporary wealth for eternal Kingdom impact.
- The Lesson: This design challenges us to stop hoarding what we cannot keep (earthly wealth) and start leveraging it to gain what we cannot lose.
