The Vision

The Story of the Art 

• The Fragmented Heart: The complex mosaic of blue and teal represents the "World"—not a perfect place, but a fractured collection of souls. It is the object of God's love, yet the site of the brokenness.
• The Cross of Light: The burst of gold in the center represents "The Gift." It is the singular action of God giving His Son.
• The Red Lightning: The jagged bolt striking the top represents the judgment and wrath that was due, which the Cross intercepts and absorbs.
• The Falling Debris: The bottom of the heart is breaking away into a pile of shards. This visualizes the promise "shall not perish." The old nature and the things that lead to destruction are discarded so the eternal core can remain.
