THE RESERVOIR MISDIAGNOSIS
THE SPECIFICATION
"You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows." — Psalm 23:5
THE DARKNESS ANOMALY
There is a specific kind of rationing that comes from a scarcity mindset. It is the cautious, calculated measurement of the "cistern spirit"—the belief that the resources for your joy, peace, and sustenance are finite and must be hoarded to survive the drought. When you treat the Gospel as a limited supply to be conserved, your first instinct is to sip slowly, assuming that every drop used is a drop lost forever. You call it being responsible. You assume the emptiness of your vessel is a sign of a failing source. You assume you are responsible for the rain.
THE SOURCE'S PERSPECTIVE
But the difference between a cistern and a spring isn't the capacity of the tank; it's the nature of the connection. Mechanically, a cistern relies on accumulated volume—once it's empty, it stays empty. But while you see a dry vessel, the Source sees an opportunity for a high-pressure discharge. God is not a distributor of measured rations; He is the Author of the Infinite Overflow. He didn't give you Grace to help you survive on drops; He gave it to submerge you. Grace is never measured in drops because the Source is never under pressure. He doesn't just fill your cup; He intentionally exceeds its capacity to prove that your supply is not found in your container, but in Him.
DEPLOYMENT IN THE SPILL
You feel the waste and call it a loss of control. The Source calls it an abundance. He didn't just meet your needs; He provided a surplus to saturate the ground around you. The "death" of your scarcity is the only way to release the freedom of His overflow.

TECH NOTE: HYDRAULIC HEAD PRESSURE
In fluid mechanics, "head" is the pressure exerted by a vertical column of water. A deep, infinite reservoir provides constant, high-velocity pressure regardless of how much fluid is drawn from the tap. In the economy of Grace, your "cup" is simply the aperture. The pressure is maintained by the infinite "head" of God's character. If your life feels like it's down to a trickle, it's not a failure of the reservoir; it's a technical indicator that you've closed the valve of receptivity. Trust the Source’s pressure.
